Carl D. was born in March 1898 in GA.1 Carl D.'s father was John H. Hooper and his mother was Rachel. His paternal grandparents were Thomas A. Hooper and Elizabeth. He had three brothers named Perry L., Albert L. and Ithymer Corbin. He was the youngest of the four children.1 General Notes
