Elisha was born in Stamford, CT.1 Elisha's father was John Holly and his mother was Mary Waitsill. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Holly and Elizabeth W Unknown. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Increase, John, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Abigail, Hannah and Bethia. He died on October 28th, 1719 in Stamford, CT.1 General Notes

Elisha was Constable at Stamford in 1694, Town Clerk in 1709, Selectman 1695-1701, Representative in 1700, 1701, 1704, 1707-1711, 1713, Auditor in 1704, 1708-1711 and Justice of the Peace in 1711. He was also Town Recorder from 1699-1718.
