Joshua Preserve was born about 1778.¹ Joshua Preserve's father was Joshua Holcomb and his mother was Sarah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Holcomb and Martha Griffin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Vashti, Horace, Hiland, Sarah, Hellen, Martha, Pamelia and Philura.¹
