Benjamin was born on August 9th, 1659 in Waertown, Mass..1   Benjamin's father was Thomas Hastings and his mother was Margaret Cheney.  His paternal grandfather was John Hastings; his maternal grandparents were Wiliam Cheney and Margaret Unknown.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 52 on December 18th, 1711.1
