Richard was born in 1536 in Codicots, Hertfordshire, England.1   Richard's father was Thomas Hale and his mother was Anne Mitchel.  His maternal grandfather was Edmund Mitchell. He had three brothers named Richard, William and John.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died in Kings Walden, Hertfordshire, England.1
