Hester was born on May 8th, 1648 in Wethersfield, Connecticut.1   Hester's father was Michael Griswold and her mother was Ann Unknown. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Isaac, Jacob, Michael, Abigail, Sarah and Mary.1
