Edward Griswold (1607-1690) came from Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England to Windsor, Conn in 1639 where he was a founder, removed in 1667 to Killingsworth, Conn, where he was a deputy to the General Court, a Justice, a Deacon, and built 'Old Fort' at Springfield, Mass. He was a representative to the General Assembly from 1658 to 1661.
