¹ Andrew's father was Thomas Griffin and his mother was Elizabeth Holland. His maternal grandparents were William Holland and Polly Ann "Mary" White. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Ben, Robert "Bob", Tom, Wayne, Erastus, Jack, John, Mollie, America and Lula.¹
