1   Rachel's father was Edward Gove and her mother was Hannah Partridge.  Her paternal grandparents were John Gove and Sarah Mott; her maternal grandparents were William Partridge and Ann Unknown. She had six brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Penuel, Ebenezer, Edward, Jeremiah, Mary, Abigail, Sarah, Ann and Hannah.1
