GOMES, Edward John, in a local hospital, April 8, 1964 of 2127 Roosevelt
Avenue, Berkeley, dearly beloved husband of Mae Elizabeth Gomes; loving
brother Frank Gomes of San Mateo, Evelyn Marinie of San Mateo, Helen
Switzer and Josephine Mele, both of San Francisco, Fred and Ray Gomes,
both of San Bruno and Sam Gomes of San Francisco; devoted son of the late
Marian Gomes. A native of San Lorenzo; aged 64 years. A member of
Teamsters Union Local 315 of Contra Costa County. Friends are invited to
attend funeral services Saturday April 11, at 8:30 a.m. from the Drawing
Room chapel of ELLIS-OLSON MORTUARY, 727 San Pablo Avenue, Albany, thence
to St. Joseph's Church, 1640 Addison Street, Berkeley, where a Requiem
Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul commencing at 9 a.m.
Recitation of the Rosary Friday evening at 8. Committal services St.
Joseph's Cemetery, San Pablo (Our parking plaza adjoins the mortuary).
