Pierre was born about 1664.  Pierre's father was Pierre Goguet and his mother was Louise Garnier.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Garnier and Jeanne Labraye. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Peirre, Jean, Jacques, Marie Anne, Jeanne, Catherine and Suzanne.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
