John was born in 1647.1   John's father was Thomas Gleason and his mother was Susanna Page. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Phillip, Nathaniel, Isaac, William, Mary and Ann.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.1
