George Barnes Gilbert

George Barnes was born on April 18th, 1804 in Clinton, New York.¹ George Barnes' father was John Gilbert and his mother was Eunice Barnes. His paternal grandparents were John Gilbert and Theodosia Marsh; his maternal grandparents were Timothy Barnes and Eunice Munson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Grove Sheldon, John, Edward, Hiram, Chauncy Gridley, Suzette and Julia Ann Barnes. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at 6 months old on November 17th, 1804 in Clinton, New York.¹
