Martha was born on August 14th, 1614 in England, Great Britain.1   Martha's father was John (Gyddyns) Giddings and her mother was Joan Purrier.  Her paternal grandparents were Michael (Gyddyns) Giddings and Katherine; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Purrier and Isabel Tilbrooks. She had a brother and two sisters, named George, Rebecca and Mary.1
