Edward was born on June 6th, 1903 in Albany, NY.1   Edward's father was Lewis J Gerhardt and his mother was Minnie Enos. He had nine brothers and a sister, named Louis Matthew, James Barnet, Robert, Albert, Anthony, Charles, Fred, George William, Richard and Marie.  He died at the age of 3 in June 1906 in Schnectday,NY.1
