Edward was born on April 13th, 1666.1   Edward's father was Samuel Gay and his mother was Mary Bridge.  His paternal grandparents were John Gay and Joanne Baldwicke. He had four brothers named John, Hezekiah, Timothy and Samuel.  He died at the age of 64 on December 23rd, 1730.1
