Walter De was born about 1292 in Of, Ashington, Somersetshire, England.1   Walter De's father was Matthew De Furneaux and his mother was Matilda (Maud) De Ralegh.  His paternal grandfather was Matthew De Furneaux; his maternal grandparents were Warin De Ralegh and Joanna Boteler. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Henry De, Simon De, Thomas De, John De, Dionisia De, Matilda De, Hawise Avis De, Elianor De, Jone (Johanna) De and Margaret De.  He was the third oldest of the eleven children.  He died in 1330 in Of, Holford, Somersetshire, England.1
