Tobias was born on June 1st, 1684 in Weiler,Baden,Germany.1 Tobias' father was Hans Frey and his mother was Margarethe Volck. His paternal grandparents were Kaspar Frey and Anna Unknown; his maternal grandfather was Wolf Volck. He had two brothers and a sister, named Hans Martin, Hans George and Anna Katherina.
