Ann was born after 1798.1   Ann's father was William Foulkes and her mother was Elizabeth.  Her paternal grandfather was Evan Foulkes. She had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Hannah, Miriam, Phebe and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the eight children.1
