Fred died officially of arteriosclerotic heart disease with acute congestive failure, left bundle branch block. He died in St. Vincent's Hospital; buried in Silver Mount Cemetery. Grace is beside him; nearby are Grace's parents George & Ada Sohm.
Superintendent of numerous apartment houses, the last had been Avon Apartments, Tompkinsville.
Had 2 collie dogs, Guy and Junior; loved his collie dogs.
Smoked Piedmont Cigarettes; favorite drink was blackberry brandy followed by a beer.
Survived by 2 brothers: Charles of Decker Ave., Port Richmond, & Frank of 330 Van Duzer St., Stapleton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Berry of 22 Barker St., West Brighton, & Mrs. Catherine Wilkinson of Long Island.
May have lowered his birthdate from 1898 to 1896 to get into the army.
1931 a fire destroyed home of Fred & Muriel; he was unemployed at the time.
