John C. was born in 1833 in Screven Co., GA.1 John C.'s father was Thomas W. Evans and his mother was Elizabeth Hendricks. He had six sisters named Harriett, Rebecca, Miriam, Martha, Milbry Ann and Mary Ann. He died about 1863.1 General Notes
