Sandford T. Estabrook 
Sandford T. was born on June 16th, 1837 in Newburgh, NY.1 Sandford T.'s father was William Estabrook and his mother was Laura Gray. His paternal grandparents were William Estabrook and Sarah Wright; his maternal grandparents were John Gray and Esther Davis. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Charles, J. Martin, William Augustin, Horatio J., Samuel W., Helen M. and Sarah Jane. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Albert and Emma. He died due to bullet in head at the age of 27 on August 12th, 1864 in David's Island.1 General Notes

Died of the rifle ball lodged in his head - August 12, 1864 at David's Island. Got wounded at the battle of the Wilderness.
Buried in St. George's Cemetery, Newburgh.
