William Elder 
William was born in 1759.1 William's father was Samuel Elder and his mother was Elizabeth Gault. He was an only child. He died at the age of 54 on March 17th, 1813 in CHESTER, MASS.1 General Notes

William Elder (1759-1813) married in 1784 Sarah Campbell (1782-1839). Both died at Chester, Mass. Sarah's sister Abigail married Lyman Baldwin, a cousin of Eunice (the wife of Selah Strong). Another sister, Deborah, married Andrew Cannon, brother-in-law of Samuel Campbell of Cherry Valley, N.Y.
