John was born on March 27th, 1597 in Cranbrook,Kent,England and his baptism took place in 1597 in Cranbrook, Kent, England.1 2 John's father was William Eddy and his mother was Mary Fosten. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddye and Mrs. Thomas Eddy; his maternal grandparents were John Fosten and Elizabeth Ellen Munn. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Phineas, Samuel, Nathaniel, Zachariah Benjamin, Samuel, Zacharias, Mary, Ellen, Abigail, Anna, Elizabeth and Eleanor. He had two half-sisters named Priscilla and Priscilla. He died at the age of 87 on October 12th, 1684 in Rehoboth,Bristol,Mass. age 90.1 General Notes
