Mary was born about 1784 in Turkeyfoot Twp, Bedford, Pennsylvania.1   Mary's father was John Drushel and her mother was Katharine Mowry. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Solomon, Henry, Elizabeth, Margaret and Catharine.  She was the oldest of the six children.1
