Charles Washington Downing 
Charles Washington was born in 1851.1 Charles Washington's father was Hiram Downing and his mother was Charlotte H. Bryson. His maternal grandparents were John Fielding Bryson and Ellizabeth Sparger. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Henry Franklin, Hiram Edward, John ("Jack") William, Margaret Emily, Esther A., Eliza and Susan Emeline. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 86 in 1937.1 -
