Mary Doty 
Mary was born in Oyster Bay, Li, New York.1 Mary's father was Solomon Doty and her mother was Rachel Seaman. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Doty and Elizabeth England; her maternal grandparents were David Seaman and Temperance Williams. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Isaac, Samuel, Stephen, Moses, Seamans, Temperance and Elizabeth. She died after December 24th, 1821.1 General Notes

The 1790 New York Census lists, for the household of Zebedee Totten of Westfield, Richmond County, two mles over 16 years and one female (plus one other non-family member). The second male could have been either a son or an elderly parent.
Th will of Zebedee Totten of Westfield, Richmond County, signed 24 December 1821, proved 8 October 1822, mentions only his eife Mary as beneficiary. Upon her death, the residue of the estate is to go to "friend Richard Mires". "Friend James Totten" was name as executor; the witnesses were Charles Storer, John Mercerearu, and Cornelius J. Totten. Since no child was named in the will, it is assumed that second male in the 1790 census died sometime later; and that there were no other children.
