William was born on January 4th, 1853.1   William's father was Henry Diekroeger and his mother was Sophia Buring.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 64 on November 24th, 1917.  He was buried on November 27th, 1917 in West Salem, La Crosse, Wisconsin.1 1
