Jenny was born about 1790 in ,Newberry,SC.1 Jenny's father was Robert Dickson and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Hall. Her maternal grandparents were James Hall and Sarah Duncan. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Nicholas, William, Sarah Ann, Elizabeth, Mary and Abigail. She was the oldest of the seven children.1 -
