Joseph was born on May 10th, 1684 in Westfield, Hampden, MA.1 Joseph's father was Jedediah Dewey and his mother was Sarah Orton. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Dewey and Frances Drake; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Orton and Margaret Paul Or Pall. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Jedidiah, Thomas, James, Daniel, Sarah, Abigail, Mary, Margaret and Hannah. He died at the age of 72 on January 3rd, 1757 in Westfield, Hampden, MA.1 -
