Israel Dewey 
Israel was born on August 26th, 1806.1 Israel's father was Israel Dewey and his mother was Nancy Hovey. His paternal grandparents were William Dewey and Rebecca Carrier; his maternal grandparents were Roger Hovey and Martha Freeman. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Harry Hovey, Frederick Freeman, Israel Otis, John Calvin, Betsey Baldwin, Anna Maria, Martha Louisa, Eunetia Parthenia, Mary Eliza and Nancy Maria. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He had three half-brothers named Daniel Havens, Alonzo Baldwin and Milton Carrier. He died at 7 months old on April 7th, 1807.1 -
