Mary was born on April 21st, 1684 in St. Peter's Parish, Talbot, MD.1   Mary's father was Thomas Delahay and her mother was Eve Riche.  Her maternal grandparents were William Riche and Alice Pattison. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, James, Sarah and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the five children.1
