Jane D. was born on October 9th, 1809 in New Brunswick, Canada.1 Jane D.'s father was James Crawford and her mother was Catherine Fritch. Her maternal grandparents were John Fritch and Catherine Unknown. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Samuel, James, George, Marion P., Ann C., Marie M. and Margaret.
