Desire was born on February 22nd, 1756.1   Desire's father was Benjamin Coffin and her mother was Elizabeth Morton.  Her paternal grandparents were Enoh Coffin and Beulh Eddy; her maternal grandparents were Mathew Norton and Mary Daggett.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 74 on April 11th, 1830.1
