Ivola was born on November 4th, 1922 in Lost Creek, Breathitt County, Kentucky.1 Ivola's father was Ebenezer Tyra and her mother was Margaret Tomlin. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Corbett, George, Ollie Marie, Myrtle and Alice. She died at the age of 65 in 1987 in Arizona.1 General Notes
