Thomas was born in 1639 in Concord, Middlesex, Mass.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Brooks and his mother was Grace. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Caleb, Gersham, Joshua, Hugh, John, Hannah (Anna) and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.1
