Jabez was born in 1654 in New Haven,New Haven,CT.1   Jabez's father was John Brockett and his mother was Mary Blackwell. He had two sisters named Be Fruitful and Silence. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, Jabez, Jabez, Samuel, Benjamin, Mary and Abigail.  He died in 1654.1
