Catherine Dorcas was born in 1812.1   Catherine Dorcas' father was Thomas Brewer and her mother was Abigail Stone.  Her paternal grandparents were CaptJames Brewer and Jean Black. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Gardner, Eliab Stone, Thomas Mayo, John Reed, Abigail E., Abby Jane and Elizabeth Haskins.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.1
