Martha was born on April 1st, 1871.1   Martha's father was Charles Bloomer and her mother was Catherine O'Halleran. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named James, Charles, Edward, John, Johanna, Julia, Ellen, Mary (Mayme), Kate, Elizabeth and Hattie.  She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.1
