Grace was born about 1492 in Of, Beeston, Cheshire, England.1   Grace's father was Tochett Beeston and her mother was Joan Donne.  Her paternal grandparents were John Beeston and Elizabeth Bold; her maternal grandfather was John Done. She had seven brothers named John, Hugh, Ralph, Thomas, Edward, Peter and George.  She was the youngest of the eight children.1
