Joel Barlow

Joel was born on March 24th, 1754 in Redding, CT.¹ Joel's father was Samuel Barlow and his mother was Esther Hull. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Barlow and Elizabeth Rumsey; his maternal grandfather was Nathaniel Hull. He had three brothers and a sister, named Nathaniel, Samuel, Aaron and Huldah. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Daniel, Jabez, James and Ruhamah. He died at the age of 58 on December 24th, 1812 in Zarnowiec, Poland.¹
