1   Sarah's father was John Barber and her mother was Nancy Burras.  Her maternal grandparents were William Burras and Abigail Jeffries. She had six brothers and three sisters, named W. D., Cassius, H. J., John, Reuben, Richard S., Betsey Ann, Abigail and Nancy Jane.1
