David Barber 
David was born on May 12th, 1686 in Windsor, Hartford, CT.1 David's father was Samuel Barber and his mother was Ruth Drake. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Barber and Jane Coggins; his maternal grandparents were John Drake and Hannah Moore. He had five brothers and six sisters, named William, Joseph, Benjamin, John, John Drake, Hannah, Ruth, Sarah, Mindwell, Mary and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 43 on November 7th, 1729 in Hebron, Tolland, CT.1 General Notes

David Barber settled on a farm near Hebron, CT, which he had received from his father. He was a prominent citizen, filling the offices of Justice of the Peace, Representative in the Assembly and Captain of a military company. He was also active in church affairs.
