Alan De Baliol

Alan De was born about 1250 in Bernard Castle, Gainford, Durham, England.¹ Alan De's father was John De Baliol and his mother was Dervorgilla De Galloway. His paternal grandparents were Hugh De Baliol and Cecily De La Fontaine; his maternal grandparents were Alan De Galloway and Margaret Huntingdon. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Hugh De, Alexander De, John, William De, Cecilia De, Eleanor De, Mary De, Ada De and Margaret De. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died before 1272.¹
