Infant was born on March 4th, 1874.  Infant's father was Perry Baker and her mother was Fannie Skaats.  Her paternal grandparents were Samson Baker and Mariah Baker; her maternal grandparents were George Skaats and Lydia Unknown. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Infant, Marion Winfred, Lydia Maria and Flora Amelia.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
