Michael Bacon 
Michael was born on December 6th, 1579 in Winston, Suffolk, England.1 Michael's father was Michael Bacon and his mother was Elizabeth Wylie. His paternal grandparents were John Bacon and Margaret. He had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Joanna, Mary, Sarah, Rose and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 68 on April 18th, 1648 in Dedham, Norfolk, England.1 General Notes

Michael was probably born in Suffolk County, England. He came to America in 1640, one of the early settlers of Dedham, Massachusetts. Tradition says he was a captain of a company of yeomanry in County Suffolk. According to Brown's History of Bedford, Massachusetts, he went from England to the north of Ireland about 1633, seven years previous to coming to America. Dedham records show that on 26 May 1640, agreed upon that the town of Dedham shall enterteyne Mr. Samuel Cooke together with his estate and also Mr. Smith and Mr. Bacon all from Ireland and afford to them such accomodations of upland and medowe as their estates shall require." A note in the records says his wife preceded him to Dedham. He was one of the signers of the Church Covenant of Dedham. In 1644 he granted land to the town for a highway. Inventory of 54 pounds. Son, Michael, of Woburn, bought a farm in Northwest Cambridge, now Bedford, where he built a mill. He lived in Billercia. In August 1675, King Phillip's War, was assigned garrison number 10 in Billercia, under the command of Timothy Brooks. Bequeathed to son Michael, "one tipped pott and ___ silver spoons". Daughter Alice died in childbirth.
