Joseph was born on October 11th, 1709 in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts.1   Joseph's father was Samuel Ashley and his mother was Sarah Kellogg.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 87 on February 8th, 1797 in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts.1
