Benjamin was born in Westmoreland, Virginia.1   Benjamin's father was Henry Asbury and his mother was Mary Durrant.  His paternal grandparents were Francis Asbury and Mary Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Henry Durrant and Sarah. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Henry and Catherine.  He died after 1755 in Virginia.1
