Bessie A. Sager
Randolph - Bessie A. Sager, 82, died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1912, the daughter of Fred and Margarite (Baker) Arbuckle. She was educated in Randolph schools.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, working with her flowers, and being with her family and friends.
She married Everett Sager in Randolph June 7, 1928. They resided for many years on Prince Street.
Following the death of her husband in 1970, she resided with her daughter, Lois, at the Randolph House. Since 1990, she had been at McKerley Nursing Home in Lebanon, NH.
She leaves two daughters, Loretta Bacon of Windsor and Lois Butterfield of Randolph; two brothers, Clifford Arbuckle of Braintree and Bernard Arbuckle of Brattleboro; three sisters, Jennie Sager of Ogdendberg, NY, Flora Sargent of Bethel, and Viola Chamberlin of Randolph; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Phelps; three sisters, Avis Stephens, Bernice Arbuckle and Irene Arbuckle; and two brothers, Fred Arbuckle Jr. and Walter Arbuckle.
Funeral Services were held at the Day Funeral Home Saturday, May 6, with Rev. Ronald Rilling officiating. Pall bearers were Wayne Salls, David Butterfield, Gary Allen, Derick Allen, Todd Allen, Raymond Phelps Jr, Stanley Blaise and Benjamin Wallen. Reflections were given to Clayton Butterfield and Carol Balcom. Phyllis Hawley was the organist.
Burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Randolph.
Arrangements were handled by Day Funeral Home, Randolph.
