John was born about 1532 in Of Pever, Chesh., England.1   John's father was Rafe Antrobus.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Antrobus and Elizabeth Machelsfeld. He had six brothers named William, Robert, Edward, Henry, Rafe and Phillip.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  John is no longer alive.1
